2019 has already been a big year for Automata. We’ve achieved many significant landmark moments from technical, commercial and manufacturing perspectives, and now to add to that we’ve hit another big moment – winning our first awards.
We’re delighted to have won not one, but two accolades at the British Engineering Excellence Awards, taking home the top prize in both the Startup of the Year category and the overall Grand Prix prize.
A huge thanks to the judges for acknowledging Automata’s mission, vision and progress to date and congratulations to each of the other award finalists. It’s a real honour to be recognised amongst such incredible and diverse engineering talent from across the UK from sectors spanning medical, aerospace, environmental, nuclear and beyond.
At a time where it’s all too easy to be distracted by uncertainty in what’s in store for the UK economy over the coming years, it’s incredibly reassuring to see such inspiring progress being made by teams and individuals across the engineering ecosystem. Here’s to more innovation, success and recognition for British engineering over the coming years!
What the judging panel said: “Automata is a company that is delivering a cost-effective product that fills a massive gap in the UK and that will provide SMEs with the opportunity to engage with automation, making Industry 4.0 a reality. The team is determined to democratise the use of robotics among small businesses and is well on course to achieving this ambition.”
