About Pantea

Pantea is Head of Design at Automata, where she leads the visual, industrial, research and UX design teams. She has over 20 years of experience in research, product design and communication strategy gained within some of the leading innovative tech and life science companies in the world, including InteraXon and Opentrons Labworks. 

Pantea has a Bachelor of Design degree in Communication and Graphic Design from OCAD University Toronto and a Master’s in Business Design from Domus Academy Milan. 

Here at Automata, she works closely with our engineering, science application and product teams, nurturing collaboration and flexing her specialisms in the digitisation and automation of biological workflows and distributed science, ensuring our customer’s needs and quality of experience are top of mind throughout our every step.

Pantea is the valiant mother of two energetic twin toddlers who keep her on her toes at all times. When she does manage to have spare time – she loves to make a mess in the kitchen and whisper sweet nothings to plants in her garden.
