About Russ
Russell is Director of Product Applications at Automata, joining us with a wealth of industry experience in 2022.
He has a BSc and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, both from University of Leeds.
After graduating with a passion for technology in life science, he joined Beckman Coulter Life Sciences in roles across automation sales, marketing, and later global presales and implementation, before working in product and partnership roles at digital biology experiment platform Synthace.
At Automata, Russ utilises his scientific background and automation expertise to lead the market strategy for our automation platform, LINQ, finding areas where we can lead the charge of automation in the life sciences. As a huge advocate for greater adoption of automation, Russell is a regular speaker on the topic of shaping scientific processes to unlock the potential of automation within the lab.
When he’s not immersed in all things biology, Russ is a keen baker and traveller but would spend his time snowboarding or hiking with his family in all his spare time if he could.
