Team Automata was in Barcelona for the fifth annual SLAS Europe 2024 Conference and Exhibition this May, meeting attendees, clients, and industry leaders alike.
Whilst attending the event we saw a marked emphasis on software, with a particular focus on transforming scientific data into actionable information.
Many companies in attendance are pioneering new territory for their solutions by offering remote, 24/7 access via the cloud.
Automata’s LINQ Cloud software, integral to the LINQ platform, offers seamless, round-the-clock connectivity, so it was reassuring to see the market embracing this innovation.
LINQ Cloud
Our total automation solution, LINQ, is comprised of LINQ Cloud and LINQ Bench, and together, they deliver powerful, flexible automation solutions that help life sciences reach their goals.
For in-house teams looking to make collaboration easier, or global operations that need to apply workflows consistently, LINQ Cloud is the laboratory automation software that can help you provide critical context, create repeatability, and maintain traceability – anywhere, all the time.
Scheduling emerged as a critical topic, with various static and dynamic solutions vying for attention. While high-value hardware such as robot arms and liquid handlers remained essential for lab automation, they were increasingly being presented as tools to facilitate scientific processes and generate data.
LINQ scheduling engine
We first previewed LINQ’s dynamic replanning scheduling capabilities at SLAS US.
Our LINQ Cloud scheduler takes the benefits of static and dynamic schedulers and offers users the best of both worlds.
It has the ability to consider known constraints for effective workflow planning and resource allocation while using state-of-the-art solving algorithms to keep workflow delivery on track.
Who can forget this gem of a video explaining more about scheduling with LINQ ahead of 2024’s SLAS USA.
From an application standpoint, the focus predominantly lies on cell-based and molecular assays, underscoring the central role these methodologies play in current scientific research.
At our stand, we demonstrated our workflow builder software, showcasing how easy it is to build, simulate, and run workflows on our complete lab automation platform, LINQ.
We also featured our digital kiosk and Lab Configurator at stand 718 offering attendees the opportunity to experience Automata’s lab automation solutions firsthand.
Design your LINQ Bench
See how your own workflows could be integrated on our Bench or get some lab inspiration with the LINQ Lab Configurator. Design your LINQ Bench in full 3D, then scan the QR code and see it in augmented reality within your space!
As always, we had a great time meeting new and old connections alike, and it was refreshing to see how many fellow automation providers are now also embracing cloud, dynamic scheduling and high-value hardware innovations.
