About Daniel
Daniel is Director of Platform – LINQ here at Automata. He’s passionate about designing functional products that not only deliver results, but look beautiful too. Have you seen LINQ? Gorgeous.
He’s a tech entrepreneur at heart, having founded design and engineering consultancy Haberdashery in 2008, leading it to secure clients such as Nissan, British Land among others. After Haberdashery, Daniel created and successfully seed-funded Lightvert, an out-of-home media technology company utilising proprietary hardware technologies to generate seemingly “holographic” images the size of buildings.
Daniel has an MA in Industrial Design Engineering from Royal College of Art London and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Physics and Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh.
Dan is passionate about music (his Desert Island Disc is Kraftwerk – Autobahn) with a penchant for analogue equipment; he enjoys cooking, spending time with his family, and board sports.
