How we’re keeping our people safe and robots shipping
Automata’s Health and Safety team has done a formidable job over the past few months ensuring that we can continue delivering robots to our customers (particularly those on the front line of the fight against COVID-19), whilst ensuring our essential staff are safe and our newly remote workforce is equipped to work effectively from home.
We’ve had some requests from other companies in our network to take a look at our COVID-19 Return to Work Handbook. As such, we’ve decided to share it openly with the wider startup and manufacturing communities in the hope that it may help others to manage risk and navigate the coming months with more clarity and confidence.

This document is the result of many hours of research, analysis and preparation into how best to manage our team’s needs and ongoing transition – managed by Mike, Automata’s Head of Safety and Compliance and our company-wide COVID task force. The result of their work has been a robust, thoughtful and pragmatic risk assessment process, followed by publication of the Return to Work Handbook and implementation of its recommendations and policies. Going through this process together has meant that while this journey is far from over, as a team we firmly believe we’re going to come out the other side of this global crisis stronger, more aligned, more resilient and closer to our customers than ever.
